2 cups pumpkin or acorn squash, cooked, peeled and cooled
1/3 cup cashews, soaked overnight in filtered water
1 or more bananas (sliced and frozen)
1/2 to 1 cup almond milk
3 Medjool dates, pitted
1 teaspoon cinnamon or ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
 (to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Place 1/2 cup almond milk, spices and dates in a high speed blender and blend until relatively smooth. Add cooled squash, cashews, vanilla, and frozen banana slices and blend again. Eating Without Judgment

You know what we mean, getting into cycles of eating the wrong food and then beating yourself up about it or getting into a lot of judgment about what you have doing with your diet. It doesn’t really help.

In this video we want to encourage you to consider the fact that judging yourself about your diet and eating habits will lead you down a road you really don’t want to go. Continue reading

Creativity – Light Speed and Beyond

I have always been creative. As a child i was always creating paintings or drawings or businesses.

What fun! I will always remember one of my first very successful ventures – i went into the perfume business at age 6 with my best buddy Pamela. Our business plan included getting rose petals from Nana’s garden, placing them in a jar, adding water from the outside hose, a lid and voilà – a saleable product which we then marketed around the neighborhood as Rose perfume – it was a hit and we sold out on our very first run! Happiness 101

yay-kittyThe number of people who know how to create violence is very great, while the number of people who know how to breathe and create happiness is very small. Every day gives us a wonderful opportunity to be happy ourselves and to become a place of refuge for others. We don’t need to become anything else. We only need to be happy in the present moment, and we can be of service to our whole society. -Thich Nhat Hanh

There is an unseen power in the simple state of happiness and the main thing i want to let you know today is that it is ok to be happy. In fact it isn’t just ok, it’s great!

Now you might be thinking well why are we talking about this?!? Continue reading
